Pinewood Legacy Garden

The Pinewood Legacy Garden Project transformed a highly visible, barren expanse of dirt into 1500 square feet of vibrant garden space to learn, play and enjoy. The orchard and California native garden were created in honor of Senator Carol Liu (SD-25), a champion for California's children and the environment.

The Garden is a joint effort between Pinewood Elementary, LA’s BEST, LAUSD, FormLA Landscaping and the Senator’s GREEN21 team. The project received material donations from Ewing Irrigation of Glendale, Netafim, and funding from Maria Mehranian and the Southern California Gas Company.
